The Spontaneous Art Collective

SpAC is a new improvisation ensemble that is focused around present-based music-making by ear. We aim to provide a safe space for people to explore improvisation, working on communication between musicians and building upon themes and ideas that people bring to sessions. The ensemble is currently based at St Catherine's College, but doesn't have any particular affiliation to a society. We warmly welcome people from all walks of life, playing any instrument at any skill level in any style. Whilst this will initially be a very informal ensemble, we hope to establish a group of regular attendees to put on a concert later this academic year.
