We host a fortnightly concert series, Sunday 8.30pm on Weeks 2, 4, 6 and 8 of term (excluding Trinity Week 8) in our historic Great Hall, free of charge for all to attend and with no reservations required. Most of these are professional concerts of a very high standard - we host Sir András Schiff from time to time -: and are generally classical, though not always, with the performers chosen by our student leads. MTW8, HTW8 and TTW4 see the Members’ Concert where students, staff and friends perform: these are great fun and afforded the same respect as the professional concerts. Exceptionally, and only as of late, do we host other events, such as Balliol Orchestra recitals in other colleges and concerts for the Ukrainian pianist Lubomyr Melnyk.
