About us
Oxford University Brass Band is a student-run, full-size, non-auditioning brass band. Our main event of the year is UniBrass - a brass band contest for university brass bands. We dress up, perform a themed set to a panel of judges, and just have a fun day out. The next 2 years, UniBrass will be in Schwarzman Centre in Oxford. In addition, we perform termly concerts and various (optional) smaller gigs. Some things coming up are an alumni gala concert in November and a joint concert with Wantage Band in February. We're one of the more lowkey music ensembles, rehearsing Sunday 8-10 in the Schwarzman Centre. If you play a brass instrument, we'd love to see you there!

What's the rehearsal schedule?
Sundays from 20:00 - 22:00 during term time in the Schwarzman Centre Recital Hall
Where and when do you perform?
Termly concerts in 7th week in Michaelmas and 4th week in Hilary and Trinity. We also compete in UniBrass (which is in Oxford this year!) in week 4 or 5 of Hilary.
What's the conductor like?
We have a very friendly, student conductor Steph. Playing for Northop Silver Band at home, she is a big brass bander.
Do you audition?
No, OUBB is unauditioned.
