Oxford University Symphonic Band

Oxford University Symphonic Band (OUSB) is a concert band welcoming anyone playing an instrument of the brass, woodwind, or percussion families (as well as the odd string bass!). As a non-auditioned group, we are proud of our relaxed approach whilst playing a great array of music, whether it be songs from the shows, marching band favourites, or something a little more classical. Within the past year, we have played everything from How To Train Your Dragon to Saint-Saëns to Coldplay to Mozart - and all in the same concert! OUSB aims to create a welcoming atmosphere in which having fun is just as important as making music, and whatever your ability or experience we’d love to have you along. Our Monday rehearsals are accompanied by a social afterwards so there is always the chance to meet fellow musicians from across the university, and our 8th week concerts never fail to be a great way to celebrate the term!
